The exam consists of two oral tests of the two modules.
Passing the exam is linked to the positive result of both tests.
The final evaluation will be the average of the evaluations of the two tests.
The objective of the oral exam is to evaluate the student's learning level with reference to the issues indicated in the learning objectives.
Relevant evaluation criteria are the skills:
- communicative
- to use anthropological terminology
-to identify, summarize the concepts discussed in class
-to apply the concepts and tools of anthropology

To provide basic knowledge of archaeology, scientific developments in archaeology and application of biological investigations and biotechnology to historical studies and archaeology.
In addition, the course aims to explain the perspectives of technical-scientific activity in the forensic field, with reference to the medico-legal investigation fields.
The course consists of two modules:
1. Forensic Biotechnology - Credits: 3
2. Archaeobiology - Credits: 3

RISULTATI DI APPRENDIMENTO ATTESI
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
1. Illustrate and critically evaluate the different metric and morphological methods used for the study of ancient human remains for biological identification
2. describe the different techniques of recovery and analysis of findings
3. discuss the methods and purposes of the study of ancient plant and fauna in anthropic contexts
4. apply the correct terminology of the anatomical descriptions
5. discuss the role of the technician in the forensic, criminal and civil law fields
6. explain medical-legal methodology and criteria
7. explain the processes and techniques of toxicology and forensic genetics
8. examine the disciplinary scientific literature
9. contextualize the results of specific studies within the current biotechnology research
