The verification of learning takes place in a single written test
(including the part of mathematics and the part of statistics) lasting two hours. An example of an exam will be discussed in the last week of class.
The objective of the course is to provide the necessary basis for the analytical understanding of the basic issues of the scientific phenomena and in particular biotecnologi through the acquisition of basic methods of mathematical analysis and the theory of probability and statistics.
Descriptive statistics univariate. Descriptive statistics Bivariate. Linear regressions.Notions of computer science for the construction of simple graphical representations.Basic elements of the theory of probability.elements of inferential statistics and statistical tests. Discrete distributions and continuous distributions. Basic elements of linear algebra vectors and matrices.Limits and continuity. Differential and integral calculus.
The book
is recommended Benedict, Degli Esposti, Maffei - "Mathematics for life sciences" - Casa Editrice Ambrosiana.
