Knowledge of anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, physiology and general pathology.
The final exam will be articulated as an oral exam including the evaluation by a commission of teachers of the integrated course. The final grade will take into account the knowledge acquired, the ability to link together this knowledge, the expressive skills and the specific attitude of the student.
During the course the student will acquire knowledge and skills in the field of musculoskeletal pathology and related treatment principles. In particular, he will acquire knowledge that will allow him to understand the diagnostic phase and the principles of treatment of the main orthopedic and traumatological pathologies, most commonly encountered during the nursing profession. The student will also be asked to acquire, in relation to the topics covered, appropriateness of language, learning and communication skills as necessary tools for understanding and transmitting the competences object of the course. These skills will enable the student to discern and therefore practically apply the principles of the nurse's professional activity in relation to the diseases of the musculoskeletal system, in independent judgment.
The course will focus on the main pathologies of congenital, inflammatory, degenerative, and traumatic origin. The criteria adopted will be those of relevance in clinical practice in relation to topics of interest to nursing, focusing in particular on the most frequently encountered and practical relevance topics. For each subject, the topics of conservative and surgical treatment, prevention and rehabilitation will be addressed, with particular attention to the role of the nurse.
