At the end of the course the student must have learned
- the main knowledge about terminology, methods and tools in the fields of hygiene, epidemiology and public health
- the bases for developing a scientific methodological approach, using the logic and tools of hygiene, to actively participate in the planning and implementation of prevention interventions
- the cause-effect criteria in medicine, the main types of epidemiological study and their validity, the measures adopted and the principles of statistical analysis relevant to the measures
- the theoretical knowledge and operating procedures in line with the most recent international recommendations, to reduce the radiological risk for operators and patients
- the knowledge of the main infectious syndrome related to the specific area of the course and acquired the general principles of epidemiology and prevention of infections associated with care practices
- the basis for understanding the health effects of occupational hazards
