The main objective of the teaching course will be to provide solid cornerstones for the understanding, orientation and management of the various clinical scenarios as well as providing the basis for therapeutic decision-making in the field of Vascular Surgery.

1. Aneurysms of the aorta, visceral vessels and peripheral vessels
2. Acute aortic syndromes: dissection, intramural hematoma, penetrating ulcers.
3. Acute limb ischemia
4. Chronico critical limb ischemia
5. Celiac-mesenteric insufficiency
6. Thoracic outlet syndrome
7. Cerebrovascular insufficiency and extracranial supra-aortic trunks pathology
8. Chronic venous insufficiency and pulmonary thromboembolism
9. Arterial and venous traumas.

The course is based on lectures using .ppt set with schemes, material taken from international literature, images and videos. The projection of films will make the development of some tic diagnosis processes and therapeutic choices better understandable. To promote critical reflection, the lessons will take place step by step with an intense promotion of interactivity in order to guide and optimize the judgment and orientation in the analysis of the clinical scenario that will be declined from time to time. To allow students the possibility of self-assessment, at the end of each macro-topic, questions with multiple choice questions and / or schematic algorithms may be proposed in the classroom to summarize the fundamental "take-home massages" in order to guarantee, even to those who he will not carry out his profession in a specialist field, an adequate cultural background that can optimize patient care.
