PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY
For a better understanding of the topics treated in this course, the students needs to know elements of genetics, biology, normal anatomy, histology, physiology, and general pathology.
The final test will be an interview in wich three separate questions, one for each of the main arguments (Cardiac pathology, Pulmonary pathology, Digestive pathology) wil be asked. The student should be able to comprehensively discuss each argument, giving complete answers on the epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis and morphology of the requested diseases.
This course is aimed to provide the sudents with basic tools to understand the morphological bases of diseases and the anatomo-clinical correlations.
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- Correlate the elementary lesions of cells and tissues with their clinical consequences.
- Utilize and understand the principal terms used in pathology practice.
- Learn and understand the macroscopic and microscopic description of the diseases of the heart and the lung.
