Mendel’s laws. Allelism and chromosomic theory of heredity. Chromosomic determination of sex. Morgan’s experiments. Linkage theory. DNA: Structure and duplication. mRNA, tRNA, rRNA: structure and trascription. The mechanism of translation. Structure of chromosomes, classification and evolution. Genic and chromosomal mutations, biological menaing and association with pathologies in human. Heredity study of human pathologies: pedigrees for autosomal recessive, autosomal dominant and X-linked disorders. Cytogenetics techniques introduction.
