General notions regarding the pharmacodynamics concerning in particular the mechanisms of drug action and the consequence for the therapeutic purposes of such mechanisms; will deepen the mechanisms of receptor action, ion channels, enzymes and all other mechanisms; their relevance for the dose-response relationship and the measure of the pharmacological effect, the evaluation of efficacy and potency, and the pharmacodynamic interactions will be considered.

Receptor mechanisms of drug action. Receptor theories. Stimulus-response relationship and signal transduction mechanisms. Drug / receptor interaction: affinity, efficacy and intrinsic activity. Receptor states. Receptor regulation.
Cellular and molecular pharmacology of receptor systems: adrenergic, cholinergic, dopaminergic, GABAergic, serotoninergic, glutamatergic, histaminergic, opioid.
Cellular and molecular pharmacology of ion channels: Na +, K +, Ca2 +, Cl-.
Cellular and molecular pharmacology of enzyme systems, with examples.
