Requirements: 

No specific scientific knowledge beyond what provided in the previous years of the odontoiatric classes are required. There are no propedeutic requirements for this course

- questions and answers during and at the end of each lessons
- final exams based on a written test with 20 multiple choice questions (to be answered in 30 minutes) related to the content of the course, the principal paediatric disorders and characteristics of children

To provide the basic knowledge about the most common paediatric diseases focusing on alarm symptoms and signs at different ages, neurological and motor development, growing charts, normal paediatric values and ranges and specific disorders and syndromes with odontoiatric interest.

Paediatric ages, steps of development, pathological and warning signs
Fever and pain in children
Infections, immunodeficiency, immunization
Common diseases in children: trauma, seizures, foreign bodies and prevention of accidents
Nutrition, obesity and feeding problems in paediatric ages
Oral systemic disorders: celiac disease, gastroesophageal reflux, Crohn disease
Allergy and anaphylaxis
Cardiological disorders with odontoiatric interest
Paediatric mental disorders at a glance and syndromes with odontoiatric interest
