To know the fundamentals related to the identity and role of pedagogy as well as to the pedagogical approach between an analytical and an interpretative (reflective critical) instance and a design and transformative (critical-emancipatory) instance.

The course involves learning the basic conceptual elements about pedagogy and adult education that can be used to develop an autonomous analytical capacity, but also to design educational interventions in the light of the pedagogical - reflective critical action - conducted on specific areas of interest.

Epistemological foundations of Pedagogy as a science.
The positioning of Pedagogy between interpretation and explanation, Training and education.
The pedagogical paradigm as the interpretative key of reality.
Adult education and the historical path in Europe and Italy.
Life Long Learning
The concept and the experience of an adult as a complex identity.
Models and approaches of Adult Education: why to do / how to do.
New and old poverty, extreme poverty, old and new addictions.
