According to the regulation of this course, having passed examinations of the previous years is required to take the examination of this course. To optimize learning, persistent knowledge of the human anatomy and physiology provided in the previous years is important.
Oral examination with questions on each section of the. The teachers will evaluate the students’ knowledge of a specific disease and their ability of interdisciplinary correlations. The final mark will be the average of the marks obtained in each section of the examination. Student will undergo examination on each section in the same date
Provide the student with basic knowledge of the following diseases: cardiovascular, endocrine, ear-nose-throat and nutrition
CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES
Mentions of cardiac anatomy and physiology. Noninvasive and invasive diagnostic evaluations in cardiovascular medicine. Definition, etiology, mentions of pathophysiology, symptoms, diagnostic workup, and prognosis of the following cardiovascular diseases and clinical settings: ischemic cardiomyopathy, cardiac arrhythmias, sudden cardiac death, syncope, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart diseases and inflammatory cardiovascular diseases.
NUTRITION SCIENCE
Principles of correct nutrition. Disturbances in nutrition.
EAR-NOSE-THROAT
Diseases of the oro-pharynx and nose; sinusitis; otitis. Diseases of the internal ear.
ENDOCRINOLOGY
Diseases of the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands. Diseases of the male and female gonads. Neuroendocrine tumors. Diabetes mellitus; hypoglycemic syndromes; obesity; autoimmune polyglandular syndromes
