ADVANCED SYNTHESIS IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY PART. B
Deep knowledge of basic Organic Chemistry, particularly with respect to aliphatic and aromatic reactivity
The course has the aim to provide students with advanced knowledge of Organic Synthesis including the most innovative methods for the formation of carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds. Synthesis and preparation of highly complex molecules will be illustrated and studied.
Smart drugs: synthesis and properties
Diastereoselection (Felkin-Ahn Model)
Chemistry of carbocations
Cycling rules (Baldwin rules)
Radical chemistry
Chemistry of carbenes and carbenoids
Photochemistry
Total synthesis of natural products and bioactive compounds
Novel methodologies and novel reagents in Organic Synthesis
Formation and reactivity of enols and enolates
Literature reports and papers will be object of study and analysis during the lectures. Slides and didactic support will be delivered and here there are only few examples of consultation textbooks.
