The purpose of the course is to provide basic knowledge to understand the chemistry of biological processes at the molecular level.
The first aim is the knowledge of the cellular environment where metabolic processes take place.
The second aim is to know the main classes of biomolecules.
The third aim is to understand mechanisms of metabolic processes and their bioenergetics
The fourth aim is to understand mechanisms that regulate metabolism at both cell and system level

Descriptive biochemistry (2 ECTS). Metabolism (3 ECTS). Cellular biochemistry (1 CFU).
