Knowledge of basic notions of chemistry is suggested.
No formal propedeuticity is required.

Final oral exam scored out of a maximum of 30 points.
The examination will aim to the evaluation of the level of knowledge and comprehension of the topics treated during the course (40%), ability to link notions of general microbiology with the notions of applied microbiology (30%), clarity of expression (20%) and the proper use of a scientific language related to the field of the microbiology applied to the environment (10%).

The aim is to provide students with an integrated knowledge of general microbiology and microbiology applied to the environmental technologies. The student will acquire a scientific terminology and language proper to the field and will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to basic and applied aspects concerning the use of microorganisms in environmental microbial technologies.
