The students should have basic knowledge in medical pathology and clinical methodology
Final exam as paret of teh teaching medical clinic
The main objective of the course is to privide the possibility of applying basic knowledge and clinical methoddology to approach the patients suffering of the most common acute and chronic pathologies in the primary care. At the end of the lessons the students will be able to:
1. frame the clinical problems presentedd by the patients
2. plan the most appropriate investigations relating to the disease iddentified
3. assign the most appropriate therapy to the patient according to the recommendations and guidelines relating to the problem
4. plan patent follow-up by scheduling clinical investigations and controls over time (diagnostic-therapeutic-assistance-paths)
The topics covered by the teaching are the following:
1. explanation of the training objectives and teaching methodology
2. upper respiratory tract infections
3. lower respiratory tract infections
4. approach to antibiotic therapy in the most common infections in primary care
5.approacho to the patient with hypertension
6. approach to the patients with diabetes
7. approach to the patient with chronic respiratory diseases (asthma and COPD)
8. approach to the patient with dyslipidemia
9. urinary disorders
10 ostheoporosis and frailty fractures

The course is divided in lectures using .ppt tools set with images, diagrams and videos. During the lessons, questions and clinical cases are proposed with plenary discussion. In the final of the lessons, questions and doubts are collected and further discussed in plenary. Appropriate bibliographic references are provided,
