Provide the student with the epidemiological, clinical and diagnostic notions necessary to set a correct diagnostic procedure of the surgical pathologies
The course concernc about surgical pathologies in the digestive system and neuroendocrinal system
Pathology of the esophagus: gastro-esophageal reflux disease and hiatal hernia, achalasia, esophageal diverticula, esophageal cancer.
The stomach: peptic ulcer and stomach cancer.
Colorectal pathology: diverticula, diverticulosis and diverticulitis, colon cancer, IBD, stoma
Pancreatic pathology: acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer.
Liver pathology: benign and malignant tumors of the liver
Biliary tract: calculi of the biliar system, acute and chronic cholecystitis, jaundice.
