The course is partly a theoretical introduction (a complement to the basic knowledge acquired in the Physics course) and partly training.(with the goal of providing the student with the basic knowledge necessary to deal with the various aspects of hygrothermal, lighting and sound comfort in indoor environments).

Measurement units. First and second law of thermodynamics. Properties of the matter. Energy conversion processes: quality and degradation of energy. Psychrometric Applications. Fundamentals of heat transfer. Windows and solar radiation control. Lighting control. Thermal comfort. Acoustics.

During the lessons the students will be provided with handouts covering the course contents. Everything is published on the website elearning.uninsubria.it
