The examination consists of an oral examination.

The course aims at analysing the Swiss Constitution, focusing on the understanding of the constitutional text and its implications. It involves in particular the studying of the Swiss legal system and its evolution, the fundamental constitutional principles, the constitutional powers, the sources of law, the federalism, the relationships between the Swiss law system and the European/International legal systems.

The course program will focus on the following subjects:
1. The history of Swiss Constitutional law.
2. The Swiss Constitution and the Swiss form of government.
3. The model of Federalism in Swiss Constitution.
4. The sources of law in Swiss Constitution.
5. The Swiss semi-direct democracy.
6. The Fundamental rights and liberties in the Swiss legal system.
14. The relationships between the European legal order end the Swiss legal order.

At the beginning of lessons textbooks and materials will be suggested, for all the students.

The course will consist in 35 hours of frontal lectures, with 25 hours concerning the Swiss constitutional system and 10 hours concerning the relationships between Swiss legal system and European Union.
