This course requires a pre-intermediate (A2/B1) English competence. Students with a lower level are expected to make up for any gaps in their English.

This course aims at providing a review of intermediate level grammar, while introducing some advanced grammar notions and basic concepts of English for Specific Purposes, in particular of Scientific English.

At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to read scientific articles in international journals and to communicate scientific results in English both in written and oral form.

The written exam will consist of an intermediate-advanced level grammar test, and the basic text analysis

Classes will focus on English grammar as applied to scientific English, with a focus on scientific lexicon.
