To provide the basic knowledge of the cardiovascular diseases and their implications for physical exercising

Mentions of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Elements of the main diagnostic modalities in cardiology, both non-invasive (resting electrocardiogram, Holter monitoring, cardiac CT & MRI, myocardial scintigraphy) and invasive (coronary angiography, electrophysiologic study and myocardial biopsy). Definition, mentions of pathophysiology, symptoms, diagnosis and implications for physical exercise of the following cardiovascular diseases or clinical syndromes: arterial hypertension, ischemic cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, sudden cardiac death, syncope, cardiomyopaties, valvular heart diseases, inflammatory heart diseases
