Italian Proficiency test
HEIs must verify the prospective students’ linguistic ability. Each institution therefore organises a test of proficiency in the Italian language, mandatory for all the bachelor and long single-cycle master degree courses, but for the cases listed in the paragraph below. Those who do not pass the language test cannot be admitted to further competitive or aptitude tests, if any. As to non single-cycle degree courses HEIs can autonomously decide whether to organize the Italian language test.
The first Italian proficiency test will be carried out online via Microsoft Teams in July.
Other Italian proficiency tests will be carried out in September.
Registration procedure
After the submission of the pre-enrollment application through the Universitaly portal, students must apply by sending an e-mail to foreign.students@uninsubria.it with a copy of their passport as an attachment. The Students Office will then invite each student to the session (on a specific day/time agreed with the Commission) via Microsoft Teams.
Type and contents of the test
The test consists of a 20 minutes interview on general topics chosen randomly by the Commission. The results will be published on the present webpage.
Aptitude test:
The academic Senate deliberation dated 14/03/2007 has also determined not to require candidates from Countries where the university registration is carried out with the number clausus system to take any further aptitude test if the degree course they have chosen has a free access.
