Christmas is a gift: about time, thought, good and positive gestures for all of us. Beyond the religious importance, 25th December represents a time of togetherness and generosity. We also want to live these days of rest and celebration within our academic community by sharing a wish of peacefulness with the teachers, the technical and administrative staff and all our students. Specifically, this year we have raised funds with the sale of Insubria Christmas baubles and will donate them entirely to the Mensa del Povero della Brunella in Varese. A gesture of solidarity towards the region following the one made for Graduation Day, when we donated to the Piccola Casa Federico Ozanam for the homeless of Como a contribution for each graduate attending the ceremony'.

Thus, with the excellent results of Insubria's two charity campaigns, Rector Angelo Tagliabue wished a happy festive season to the university community, which responded enthusiastically to the Christmas baubles campaign.

A unanimous choice was also made for the traditional Christmas video: a roundup of our students' 'happy holidays' in Chinese, French, Spanish, Hindi, German, Arabic, Turkish, Iranian, Albanian and Russian. And, finally, our Rector's greetings, joined by a Medicine student and a staff representative, reminded us that 2023 will mark the first 25 years of the University of Insubria.

A significant anniversary, to which the University dedicated the academic year inauguration on November 15th at the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella: a historical day, a great honour. A gift.
