Suspension of educational activities until March 1st, 2020: Indications from the Rector Angelo Tagliabue to students and teachers

Dear colleagues, dear students,
the evolution of the situation of the coronavirus COVID-19 recommends, in agreement with all the Lombard universities and with the civil and health authorities, the adoption of simple measures to protect public health.
Therefore, next week, from Monday 24 February to Sunday 1 March, educational activities (such as lectures and seminars), exams (degree and merit), lectures (internal or open to the external public), as well as competition tests (written or oral) are suspended in all university locations (in Varese, Como and Busto Arsizio).
The remaining working activities of teachers and technical-administrative staff will continue normally and the offices will be open to the public: further indications, however, may be provided, when appropriate.
For any need about the secretarial offices, reducing travel to the minimum, the Infostudenti service is available:

Any administrative term or deadline for students is suspended, without charges of any kind. Access to libraries will only be allowed for loan and return functions (terms are extended anyway), while spaces reserved for consultation and study will be closed.
We believe that, in the absence of different indications from the Authorities, all activities will be able to resume on Monday 2 March. In particular, teaching activities and exams are postponed for exactly one week.
Students and researchers hosted in the university colleges are suggested to return or stay at home. Social activities in colleges are suspended in the same terms as didactic ones.
International students and researchers can write to welcome@uninsubria.it for any question.
I will promptly notify you any useful update, check frequently our website.
