Environmental Sciences
Planet Earth is a still evolving planet, characterized by the coexistence of both natural environments and man-made areas, climate changes and global problems, geological processes that keep altering the terrestrial surface, interactions between biotic and abiotic components, modifications and contaminations of chemical, physical and biological nature -with possible and consequent impacts on the ecosystems and human health- , evolution and preservation of biodiversity.
Therefore, the master’s degree in Environmental Sciences is based on a multidisciplinary learning activity which is focused on protection, administration and preservation of the environment in each of its elements and branches, starting from the evaluation of natural and man-made risks on a local and global scale.
A cultural, scientific and legislative preparation will be provided to the graduates in this master’s degree, so that they will be able to face and evaluate on a multidisciplinary point of view the resources and the environmental problems caused by the natural evolution of the territory and by mankind’s operations.
The study programs is composed by four different curriculum:
- climatic and global change;
- geological risk;
- chemical risk;
- biodiversity preservation and enhancement.
Lessons are held in Italian.
