Paolo Musso is Associate Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Insubria, where he teaches the courses Foundations of modernity and Science and science fiction, unique Italian university course about science fiction. From 2005 on he is visiting professor of Epistemology at the UCSS of Lima. From 2004 on he is full member of the SETI Committee, interdisciplinary study group of the International Academy of Astronautics for the search for extraterrestrial intelligent life. In 2008 he was one of the main characters of Calling E.T., the best documentary ever about SETI. In 2012 he was awarded the 2nd prize in a competition of articles of the Oxford University. From 2015 on he is full member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. In 2017 he was Fellow to Latin America of the Oxford University, he directed the progetto La vida en el universo (Life in the universe) in collaboration with the Peruvian universities UCSS and UNIFÉ. From 2020 on he is Scientific Director of the InCosmiCon (Intelligence in the Cosmic Context) international research center. He has published more than 80 articles and 7 books, in addition to writing the entry Science fiction for the X Appendix of the prestigious Enciclopedia Treccani.
